My Story

I’ve always believed in living a bold, purposeful life.

As a girl I was filled with big dreams. I wanted to travel the world, become a photographer, start a singing career, and own my own business. I knew from an early age that I was meant for more than the ordinary, and throughout my life I made sure “impossible” was nothing more than a challenge.

It was in the restaurant’s kitchen, with the line cooks joking with each other, and the manager yelling something inappropriate to her, that she looked up, and the show on the TV in the corner caught her eye: Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. The fabulous outfits and smiling faces jolted her back to reality, and she quit right then and there, knowing that wasting away in this restaurant was not her fate and that she wanted something big for her life.

I was ready to make my mark on the world. Surrounded by newness — new country, new marriage, new language, and new life — I felt invigorated. It took hard work and determination (and overcoming more than a few hurdles), but eventually I became one of the most sought after wedding photographers in the area.

I wanted something more…

Despite finding success, a key piece of the puzzle was missing.

After I built a successful photography business, I channeled my skills into fulfilling my lifelong dream of becoming a singer. In starting my own production company I was able to create an image for myself that was just as successful on stage as it had been behind the camera.

By every measure, I had achieved my dreams. Despite this, something was still off. I felt disconnected from my business and from my aspirations.

The most frustrating part was being unable to pinpoint why I felt so detached from my brand. What was missing?

Then, suddenly, it was my turn to be in front of the camera. I was forced to put my trust in another photographer as I smiled, posed, and hoped for images that would elevate my brand.

That photoshoot was a total flop. I ended up with a slew of pretty photos I didn’t connect with at all. And that turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me, because while staring down at them, I finally realized what was wrong.

I knew who I was, but I wasn’t showing it to the world

Despite being a photographer myself, I wasn’t telling my own story through my photos. Instead of embracing images that put my personality on display I was seeking outside affirmation. I tried to become who others thought I should be, across the board.

This was true for my singing career and as my photography and coaching practice, and it certainly showed up in my images. Those pictures were putting someone else on display, not me. And while they were nice, they didn’t represent my story and I couldn’t leverage them to build my business. They didn’t speak to my vision or reflect my identity.

This is where I realized that supporting online entrepreneurs was my purpose.

I knew I had to embrace my inner superstar

I committed to creating a brand and business around authenticity. I committed to finding and expressing my true identity — flaws and all — through my brand as a visual storyteller.

It didn’t happen overnight, but this commitment allowed me to shift into branding photography and transformational coaching, building a business that brought me clients, travel, financial freedom and, most importantly, joy.

In embracing myself I was able to find myself. I was able to put my images out to the world, confident that those who saw them would identify with me. The true me.

And that’s what I want for you.

After going through the process myself, I became obsessed with helping others access the tools they need to feel confident stepping into their brand and putting it on display. I coined the phrase Global Brand Star to encompass everything you can achieve: A truly international brand where you are the star of the show and your perfectly imperfect personality guides your success.

How do you achieve it? It’s a simple combination of mindset work, visibility strategy, and stunning photography that represents your core mission. And I’m here to walk with you on that journey.
